Zoe Black – My ancestors, meeting your ancestors with love and respect
In this presentation, I will discuss projects from the past two years that have included different moments of exchange between Māori and Sámi creative practitioners. These projects have encompassed making practices, exhibition making and wānanga to interrogate the different ways in which we can honour and respect Indigenous knowledge systems within craft, architecture and design. Projects include Te Whare Pora with Maungarongo Te Kawa, Architecture of Aroha and Building an archive of Indigenous architecture.
