“This programme of learning is aimed at developing drawing and painting art-making techniques using contemporary Māori art from the Toi Tū Toi Ora Exhibition: Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki. Ākonga will learn basic drawing, composition, wood carving, stencil and painting conventions and an introduction to using artist models to inform their own practice and generate a response to briefs, through visual means.”
