Kirsty Grieve and Jonathan Cameron – Seeking higher ground in Visual Arts Scholarship

Join Kirsty and Jonathan for a deep dive on all things Scholarship Visual Arts. In this presentation, Kirsty and Jonathan will share their approaches to supporting students with scholarship through a range of recent submissions from their respective departments over the past 2-3 years, collectively covering all fields of Visual Arts practice: Design, Painting, Photography, Printmaking and Sculpture.
This is an opportunity to see student work that has received Scholarship, and in turn, gain insight in a plethora of different ways to approach Scholarship, across all fields of practice.

Biography

Kirsty Grieve is Head of Visual Arts and Art History at New Plymouth Girls High School in Taranaki. In her current role, she teaches Level 3 Photography, Printmaking and Sculpture. She leads a large team of art educators and supports the Scholarship programme that the department offers.
Jonathan Cameron is the Head of Visual Arts at St Paul’s Collegiate School in Hamilton. In his current role, he is teaching Level 3 Painting, Photography and Printmaking. He supports the scholarship programme that his department of three offer.
