Rachel McClure – Teaching Art Online – How Do I even Do That?
I’d been out of teaching for 4 years. I left on maternity leave and never wanted to go back. I was burnt out. And, anyway, how on earth would I be able to teach and be a mum? It felt like too much. But…. I always kept my eye on the gazette, just to see who was moving about and what was happening.
A job came up… “1 NCEA Art Class, Fully Online”.
Looked interesting.
I applied on a whim.
Got an interview.
Got an offer.
Accepted the offer.
One week before class starts: How do I use Teams? How do I use Outlook? How do I even teach ART online?? What have I done???
Come join me for a presentation on what I did, how I learnt to teach art online, and how I found my tribe.
